After flying high against the Research Triangle Raptors last Friday, the Triangle Math & Science Tigers came back down to earth. Triangle Math & Science took a 47-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Falls Lake on Tuesday. Triangle Math & Science has not had much luck with Falls Lake recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Triangle Math & Science's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Yashitha Vanamala, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Leanna Nohs, who scored 14 points along with 3 steals.
It was another big night for Emerson Thompson, who dropped a double-double on 35 points and 20 rebounds for Falls Lake. That makes it six consecutive games in which Thompson has scored at least 25% of Falls Lake's points. Khloe Massengill was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
Triangle Math & Science has yet to win a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 3-3 record. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 53 points. As for Falls Lake, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
