The Sonora Raiders won the last time they faced the Sunny Hills Lancers, and things went their way on Monday too. Sonora managed a 57-53 win over Sunny Hills.
When it comes to explaining why Sunny Hills lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nathan Sanchez. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Ze Brien Watkins, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Sonora has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Sunny Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 14-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sonora the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Buena Park at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. Buena Park is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak. As for Sunny Hills, they will be playing at home against Fullerton at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Fullerton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Monday.
