The Glens Falls Indians were the 54-40 winner over the Scotia-Glenville Tartans when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Glens Falls was just a bucket shy of victory on Wednesday and fell 40-39 to Scotia-Glenville.
Glens Falls lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Sarah Wolfstich, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Darielle Gooden, who scored 11 points.
Glens Falls' defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5. As for Scotia-Glenville, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season.
Glens Falls will head out on the road to face off against Schuylerville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Schuylerville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 351st, while Glens Falls is ranked 154th). As for Scotia-Glenville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Broadalbin-Perth at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Broadalbin-Perth is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
