The Jefferson Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Whitewater Whippets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Jefferson is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Whitewater in Wisconsin (Jefferson is ranked 153rd, while Whitewater is ranked 398th).
Last Thursday, Jefferson came up short against Lakeside Lutheran and fell 59-50. Jefferson has not had much luck with Lakeside Lutheran recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Meanwhile, Whitewater pushed their score all the way to 59 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They lost to Poynette at home by a decisive 75-59 margin. Whitewater has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Whitewater, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.
Jefferson took their victory against Whitewater in their previous matchup back in February by a conclusive 66-40. Will Jefferson repeat their success, or does Whitewater have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
