The Copper Canyon Aztecs had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took down Browne 67-52 on Monday. Copper Canyon's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Several Bruins players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Adam Chaffin, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds. Chaffin scored a full 26.9% of Browne's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Raevonta Hill, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Copper Canyon's victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5. As for Browne, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Copper Canyon will take on Glendale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Browne, they will be playing at home against Carl Hayden Community at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Carl Hayden Community's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven matches.
