Stony Point barely beat Hutto the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Stony Point blew past Hutto 11-5 on Tuesday. Considering the Tigers have won nine matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Sophia Davis made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February.
In other batting news, Stony Point got a big performance out of Ava Perlinger, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Grace Kaiser was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
