The Hazen Highlanders entered their tilt with the Liberty Patriots with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Hazen skirted past Liberty 35-32. For Hazen, this counts as revenge for the 56-29 defeat Liberty walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Dakota Nap continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring seven points along with 13 rebounds and six assists. Those 13 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. India Andrews was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Hazen's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-7. As for Liberty, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-5 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hazen will take on Juanita at 5:40 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Washington (Juanita is ranked 124th, while Hazen is ranked 130th). As for Liberty, they will head out on the road to face off against Interlake at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Interlake focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Monday.
