The Norsemen were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.
Several Norsemen players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Delon Hana, who went 7 for 8 on his way to 19 points. Hana continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Geroge Hinnawi, who went 5 of 7 en route to 10 points.
Granite Hills' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lathan Fry, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 20 boards. Fry has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 26 times he's played. Jasen Hughes was another key player, going 6 for 11 on his way to 18 points.
Valhalla's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 12-8. As for Granite Hills, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-10 record this season.
Valhalla wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 72-55 loss against Del Lago Academy on the 27th. As for Granite Hills, they will take on Santana at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Granite Hills is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
