James Wood's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Josie Russell, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 10 rebounds, and Nayah Edwards who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklynn Medina, who scored 7 points along with 9 rebounds and 5 assists.
James Wood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Central Woodstock, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. James Wood will square off against Fauquier at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Central Woodstock, they will head out on the road to face off against Riverheads at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
