Delta hasn't had much luck against Juab recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Rabbits are taking a road trip to challenge the Wasps at 3:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Delta 3.5, Juab 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Delta is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game last Friday. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Carbon. That's two games in a row now that the Rabbits have lost by exactly two runs.
Delta saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashton Stefanoff, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.
Meanwhile, Juab entered their tilt with North Sanpete on Monday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They came out on top against the Hawks by a score of 5-1.
Austin Park made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Trevin Park was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.
Delta's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Juab, their record is now 9-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Delta has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Juab struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Delta might still be hurting after the 11-1 loss they got from Juab in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Rabbits avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
