With a playoff game on the line, the South Spencer Rebels rose to the challenge on Saturday. They snuck past the Wolfpack with a 38-33 win. Winning may never get old, but South Spencer sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
South Spencer's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Molly Schulte led the charge by scoring nine points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Kendalyn Shourds, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
South Spencer has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-11 record this season. As for Crawford County, their loss dropped their record down to 19-7.
South Spencer and the Braves will face off at 1:00 p.m. on February 10th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Brownstown Central knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully the Rebels like a good challenge. Crawford County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
