The Martin Tigers won the last time they faced the Juarez-Lincoln Huskies, and things went their way on Friday too. Martin put the hurt on the Huskies with a sharp 47-26 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Martin.
It was another big night for Kiara Gonzalez, who scored 14 points along with six steals and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Maria Manrique, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Martin has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 17-18 record this season. As for Juarez-Lincoln, they are on a 16-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-21.
Martin will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. Mission Veterans Memorial is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Juarez-Lincoln, they will head out on the road to face off against the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nixon presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Huskies in Texas (the Mustangs are ranked 334th, while the Huskies are ranked 1432nd).
