The Tate Aggies's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Booker T. Washington Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Tate has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 468 points over their last seven contests.
Tate posted their biggest win since December 28, 2023 on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Pace 74-42 at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-12.
Tate had a senior duo take command as Deonne Williams, jr. scored 13 points along with six rebounds and Lucas Williams scored nine points along with six steals and five assists. Williams hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Bray-hasty, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Booker T. Washington waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 60-51 win over Pine Forest.
Tate has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Booker T. Washington, they pushed their record up to 13-6 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home.
Tate came up short against Booker T. Washington when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 84-74. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Booker T. Washington's Alex Jasquith, who scored 31 points. Now that Tate knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
