After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Horatio, Woodlawn was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Gurdon Devils by a score of 6-3. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Devils recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Woodlawn's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Gurdon, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Woodlawn is set to square off against their familiar foe Hampton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bears 3.5, the Bulldogs 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Gurdon will face off against rival Fordyce at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
