Collins entered their tilt with Anderson County on Wednesday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They put the hurt on the Bearcats with a sharp 9-0 victory. Considering the Titans have won nine matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Alston Whitworth made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Nolan Faulkner, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Brady Morris, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Collins always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Anderson County only posted an OBP of .231.

Collins pushed their record up to 18-12 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Anderson County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-14.
