The Mundy's Mill Tigers pushed their score all the way to 66 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Morrow 70-66. Mundy's Mill was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Morrow apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Mundy's Mill lost, one person who can't be blamed is Dajuan Riddle. Despite the final result, he scored 28 points. That was a full 42.4% of Mundy's Mill's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Fred Umeano, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Morrow got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jacob Coleman out in front who scored 14 points. Coleman is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Aponte, who scored 14 points.
Mundy's Mill dropped their record down to 9-8 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Morrow, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-8.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Forest Park the next time they take the court. Mundy's Mill will host Forest Park at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Morrow will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
