Last Thursday, Hialeah Gardens never let their opponents score. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 28-0 victory over Hialeah-Miami Lakes.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Coral Reef's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They suffered a rough 37-13 loss at the hands of Ferguson. Coral Reef was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-0.
Despite the loss, Coral Reef got a solid performance out of Mayson Mendez, who rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown. Mendez's longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards.
Hialeah Gardens' win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-6. As for Coral Reef, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.
