The Milford Scarlet Hawks lost against the Attleboro Bombardiers back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Milford took a hard 65-49 fall against Attleboro. While losing is never fun, Milford can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 112th, while Attleboro is ranked 31st).
Milford's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was CJ Farrell, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Rivera, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.
Milford has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Attleboro, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Milford will take on North Attleborough at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Milford is facing North Attleborough at the right time seeing as North Attleborough is stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for Attleboro, they will be playing at home against King Philip Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Attleboro has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 328 points over their last five contests.
