It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Rockville Rams had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 14-13 victory over the Redcoats. The win was familiar territory for Rockville who now have six in a row.
It was another big night for Amir Knighton, who rushed for 146 yards and a touchdown.
Berlin's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jon jon Morales, who picked up 79 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Rockville pushed their record up to 10-1 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.0 points per game. As for Berlin, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.
Rockville will square off against Holy Cross at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday. Berlin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
