Noxubee County (Macon, Miss.) snapped
Itawamba Agricultural (Fulton, Miss.)'s 12-game winning streak, with a 16-3 victory on Saturday.
The Tigers were up 8-3 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown pass by
Jarvis Taylor to
Charles Hughes in the first quarter.
With the win Noxubee County extended its winning streak to 14 games. NC defeated the Commodores 14-0 last week.
The Macon school's standout player in the win was Hughes. The senior wide receiver caught one touchdown.
Tyler Dossett played well for the Indians. The senior quarterback kicked one field goal. He has now scored four touchdowns on the season.
The Tigers came into the game allowing 7.1 points per game. The three points that Itawamba Agricultural ended with were well below its average of 40.3 coming into the game.
The loss comes after Itawamba Agricultural defeated Lewisburg 30-3 last week.
