It was a good run, but the White River Hornets unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They were beaten by Enumclaw 49-6. White River has struggled against Enumclaw recently, as their contest on Friday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Aaden Rathbun threw for 305 yards and a touchdown. Tate Bowen was his top target, picking up 123 receiving yards. On the ground, Landon Mollett rushed for 31 yards.
Enumclaw's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gunnar Trachte, who threw for 206 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 passes. Enumclaw also got a significant boost from Tristan Donovan, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 85 yards.
White River's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Enumclaw, they have yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 10-0 record.
White River will head out on the road to face off against North Kitsap at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Kitsap has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 174 points over their last four matchups. As for Enumclaw, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sammamish at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sammamish will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 205th, while Enumclaw is ranked 42nd).
