The Sevier County Smoky Bears will head out on the road to take on the Morristown-Hamblen West Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Sevier County is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Trojans in Tennessee (the Smoky Bears are ranked 43rd, while the Trojans are ranked 130th).
Last Friday, Sevier County earned a 45-35 victory over the Patriots. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Sevier County has scored all year.
Meanwhile, Morristown-Hamblen West scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They strolled past Cocke County with points to spare, taking the game 75-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Sevier County is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Morristown-Hamblen West, the win got them back to even at 10-10.
Sevier County was able to grind out a solid victory over the Trojans in their previous meeting back in January, winning 55-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sevier County since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
