Marist extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from James Lasco. The War Eagles came out on top against the St. Pius X Catholic Golden Lions by a score of 28-21 on Friday with plenty of help from Lasco, who rushed for 188 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry, and also threw for 123 yards and one TD. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 102.2 rushing yards per game.

Marist didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Engin McCarthy led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself.

Despite the loss, St. Pius X Catholic still got an impressive performance from Aiden Francois, who rushed for 100 yards and one score on only five carries.

Marist's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for St. Pius X Catholic, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-2.
