The team relied heavily on Aliah Guajardo, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI. Evoria Garcia was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, Nixon posted their biggest win since February 18th on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 14-2 margin over Economedes.
Jimena Ibarra made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three doubles, and three RBI.
In other batting news, Nixon let Emily Escamilla and Kivana Hernandez run wild. Escamilla went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI, while Hernandez scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Escamilla also put up a run, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Yaritza Ramos, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Nixon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They are undefeated (3-0) when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
