The Nogales Nobles can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 54-26 victory over Azusa. The win was just what Nogales needed coming off of a 82-40 loss in their prior game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Nogales to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jayden Salas, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Shehab Elkambari, who scored 12 points.
Nogales' win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-11. As for Azusa, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nogales is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Workman at 6:00 p.m. on January 17th. As for Azusa, they will face off against Duarte at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
