Carle Place is 10-0 against Oyster Bay since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Carle Place Frogs will head out on the road to take on the Oyster Bay Baymen at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Carle Place focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday.
Carle Place stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard. Everything went their way against Locust Valley as Carle Place made off with a 54-28 win. With Carle Place ahead 33-13 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Caitlin Leary continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points along with six assists and four steals. Meanwhile, Oyster Bay had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against East Rockaway by a score of 40-30 last Wednesday. The score was all tied up 16-16 at the break, but Oyster Bay was the better team in the second half.
The win was the third in a row for Carle Place, bringing their record for this year to 10-5. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36.67 points. Oyster Bay's record now sits at 1-2.
Carle Place strolled past Oyster Bay in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 59-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Carle Place since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
