After flying high against the St. Pius X Lancers back in December of 2023, the Southern Missouri RUSH * came back down to earth. Southern Missouri RUSH suffered a tough 57-31 loss at the hands of School of the Ozarks on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Southern Missouri RUSH has scored all season.
School of the Ozarks' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Scott Carswell led the charge by scoring 14 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Carswell has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Caleb Widner, who scored 11 points along with seven steals.
Southern Missouri RUSH has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-8 record this season. As for School of the Ozarks, they pushed their record up to 8-4 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Southern Missouri RUSH's road trip will continue as they head out to face Steelville at 8:00 p.m. on January 16th. As for School of the Ozarks, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bradleyville at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bradleyville comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
