The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Johnson County is ranked 286th, while Washington-Wilkes is ranked 267th).
Johnson County can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. Everything went their way against Hancock Central as Johnson County made off with a 41-20 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-14.
Benvonte Murray looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 112 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries. Nathan Turberville also helped with two touchdowns in total.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 41 points the game before, Washington-Wilkes were a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They took a 20-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of Greene County.
Johnson County is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Washington-Wilkes, they bumped their record down to 6-4 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
