After flying high against the Bowling Green Bobcats last Friday, the Napoleon Wildcats came back down to earth. Napoleon was the victim of a tough 61-37 defeat at the hands of Northview on Tuesday. Napoleon has struggled against Northview recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Napoleon's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Chloe Cicero, who scored 15 points, and Ella Tassler who scored 11 points. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for Tassler.
Napoleon's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Northview, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Napoleon will take on Southview at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Southview and Napoleon are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Northview, they will head out on the road to face off against Findlay at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Findlay presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Northview in Ohio (Findlay is ranked 96th, while Northview is ranked 276th).
