After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Land O' Lakes, the Fivay Falcons were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They came out on top against East Lake by a score of 37-28. For Fivay, this counts as revenge for the 54-16 loss the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Malia Shuler was a one-man wrecking crew for Fivay as she dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Shuler has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaslene Medina, who scored six points along with ten rebounds.
Fivay's win bumped their record up to 13-10. As for East Lake, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-9.
Fivay will square off against the Coyotes at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Cypress Creek will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. As for East Lake, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Bulls at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Hopefully Wiregrass Ranch focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Thursday.
