The McClain Tigers will be playing at home against the Fairfield Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
McClain has not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They strolled past Piketon with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 53-38. That 15 points margin sets a new team best for McClain this season.
Meanwhile, Fairfield put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Southeastern as Fairfield made off with a 69-49 victory. Fairfield has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.
Larkin Friend was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Logan McIntosh was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with five rebounds.
McClain's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-11. As for Fairfield, their victory was their 18th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-0.
McClain might still be hurting after the 65-42 defeat they got from Fairfield in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Will McClain have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
