The biggest upset of the week belonged to Prairie Valley, who defeated 59th ranked AGWSR, 26-6.
Adding to the longest winning streak in A District 2 this week, the Warriors beat the Cougars 26-6. The win marks sixth in a row for the Prairie Valley.
Newman Catholic's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jack Fitzgerald threw for 97 yards and Kaden Wadle had 41 yards receiving. On the ground Joe Burgmeier contributed 219 yards. Connor McDonald helped Newman Catholic's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 21 yards.
Burgmeier provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Knights defeated West Hancock. Burgmeier's key target this week was Wadle, who caught 4 passes for 41 yards.
Burgmeier was a beast in the backfield as Newman Catholic beat the Eagles.
Peter Lapointe was a key player and the best on defense this week as Mike Dirksen's team beat West Hancock. The 6-foot-1 senior recorded 1 fumble.
Burgmeier was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 24 carries, he ran for 219 yards as the Knights bested Bob Sanger's team. Spencer Wihlm also contributed to the rushing game with 31 yards on the ground.
Newman Catholic's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Knights feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Fitzgerald has thrown for 712 yards and 4 touchdowns this season, while Wadle has 26 catches for 275 yards.
Southeast Webster-Grand lost to Belmond-Klemme 58-20 last week, the largest margin of any game.
