Looking to avenge last year's loss, Clay-Chalkville (5-0) will travel about 45 minutes Thursday to take on Thompson (4-0), the four-time defending 7A state champions, in a matchup of undefeated Alabama squads on ESPN2 at 7 p.m.

Jaylen Mbakwe of Clay-Chalkville is a top 20 prospect in the Class of 2024 and committed to Alabama to play cornerback but has been starring at quarterback this season.
Defensively, Thompson is led by
Anquon Fegans, the No. 22 prospect in the Class of 2025. He has racked up 138 tackles and 11 interceptions since 2021.
Freshman quarterback
Trent Seaborn led the Warriors to the state crown as an eighth-grader last season and is having a huge freshman year under center. Alabama, Auburn North Carolina and Oregon are among his 14 offers.
