Softball Recap: Ridgeline Has No Trouble Against Gonzaga Prep

Ridgeline's game two weeks ago was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 24-1 margin over the Gonzaga Prep Bullpups. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by ten runs or more this season.

Gianna Haiar was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilley Triplett, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

Ridgeline is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Gonzaga Prep, they dropped their record down to 0-12 with the loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridgeline will welcome Shadle Park at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Highlanders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.82 runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Gonzaga Prep, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against University at 4:00 p.m.
