On Tuesday, Kolbe-Cathedral faced Crosby in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Kolbe-Cathedral strolled past Crosby with points to spare, taking the game 79-64. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
In what's become a running theme this season, Notre Dame Catholic gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They breezed by New Milford on the road to the tune of 80-32. Given Notre Dame Catholic's advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked eighth, while New Milford is ranked 145th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kolbe-Cathedral pushed their record up to 17-0 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 29.6 points. As for Notre Dame Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 15-1.
