McDowell posted their closest victory since April 23, 2024 on Tuesday. They never let the North Buncombe Black Hawks get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. For the Titans, this counts as revenge for the 1-0 victory the Black Hawks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

McDowell moved to 2-4 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for North Buncombe, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McDowell will square off against T.C. Roberson at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. T.C. Roberson has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.17 runs per game on average), something McDowell will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for North Buncombe, they will take on Tuscola at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. North Buncombe's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Tuscola's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
