After a string of four wins, the First Baptist Crusaders's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They lost to St. Francis Christian at home by a decisive 64-47 margin. When it comes to explaining why First Baptist lost, one person who can't be blamed is Levi Borner . Despite the final result, he scored 27 points along with three steals. The game was Borner 's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Lindsay, who scored 12 points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Francis Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kovii Boldt, who scored 16 points along with five steals. That's the first time this season that Boldt scored 15 or more points. Diezel Vagle was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with seven rebounds.
First Baptist's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for St. Francis Christian, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with that win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
First Baptist does not have any more games scheduled as of now. St. Francis Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Chisago Lakes Baptist at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th.
