This season hasn't been kind to the Shady Spring Tigers, who are still winless after their 12th game. They suffered a tough 57-34 defeat at the hands of WestSide on Thursday. Shady Spring has struggled against WestSide recently, as their contest on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Shady Spring's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kendra Pizzino, who scored 15 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylee Barnes, who scored five points along with eight steals.
Shady Spring's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-12. As for WestSide, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shady Spring will play host again and welcome Midland Trail, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for WestSide, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Tug Valley at 1:00 p.m. Hopefully Tug Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Wednesday.
