Caldera hasn't had much luck against Ridgeview recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Caldera will host Ridgeview at 4:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Caldera barely beat Redmond the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Caldera never let Redmond get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Friday. Caldera might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by eight runs or more this season.
Redmond's batters probably weren't too happy with Peyton Borges, who pitched a no hitter (he gave up a single walk). Borges has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Carson Downing was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Caldera is undefeated when Downing posts two or more runs, but 4-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Hattenhauer, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Caldera always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Redmond only posted an OBP of .100.
Ridgeview's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Summit on Friday. The Ravens were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Storm. With that victory, the Ravens brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.
Finn Chambers spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits.
At the plate, Ridgeview let Bronx Lick and Ryden Nakamura run wild. Lick went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run, while Nakamura went 2-for-3 with three runs and one triple. That's the most hits Nakamura has posted since back in March. Aiden Scott was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
The win (which was Caldera's third in a row) raised their record to 7-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Ridgeview, they now have a winning record of 7-6-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Caldera has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Ridgeview struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Caldera suffered a grim 14-1 defeat to Ridgeview in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Will Caldera have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
