Summer Creek has gone a perfect 10-0 against King recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Summer Creek 2.8, King 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Summer Creek is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Texas' top teams: Atascocita, who was ranked fifth at the time (Summer Creek was ranked 13th). The Bulldogs walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Eagles on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for the Bulldogs, who have now won four games in a row.

Torie Turner made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run and three RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Olivia Maciel, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.

Meanwhile, King got themselves on the board against Goose Creek Memorial on Tuesday, but Goose Creek Memorial never followed suit. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Patriots 1-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

King's win bumped their record up to 16-9-1. As for Summer Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 20-4.

Everything went Summer Creek's way against King in their previous matchup back in March, as Summer Creek made off with a 9-1 win. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
