Rock Canyon is 9-0 against Castle View since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Rock Canyon Jaguars will be playing at home against the Castle View Sabercats at 7:00 p.m. Rock Canyon will be strutting in after a win while Castle View will be coming in after a loss.
On Tuesday, Rock Canyon came out on top against Ponderosa by a score of 67-54 (the very same score they lost by the week prior). Given Rock Canyon's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Ponderosa is ranked 35th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Rock Canyon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Macoy Terry, who scored 15 points along with eight assists and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kasen Lehman, who scored 16 points along with three steals and three blocks.
Meanwhile, Castle View came up short against Legend on Tuesday and fell 61-54. Castle View has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Rock Canyon is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Castle View, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season.
Everything went Rock Canyon's way against Castle View when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as Rock Canyon made off with a 89-63 victory. Does Rock Canyon have another victory up their sleeve, or will Castle View turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
