Centralia has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against The Moberly Spartans at TBD on Friday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Centralia ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They snuck past Hallsville with a 24-18 win. The score was all tied up 6-6 at the break, but Centralia was the better team in the second half.
Jesse Caballero continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 111 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. Caballero was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 57 yards.
Centralia's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. The heavy lifting was done by Ian Tuggle and Chris Brown who racked up four sacks between them.
Meanwhile, Moberly can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They blew past Macon, posting a 49-10 win at home. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Moberly's seven-point performance the contest before.
Centralia's victory was their sixth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 9-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.3 points per game. As for Moberly, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
