Casa Roble is 9-1 against Woodland since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Rams will challenge the Wolves at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Casa Roble will head out to face Woodland after giving up their first home loss of the season on Tuesday. Casa Roble took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dixon. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, Casa Roble couldn't push the score so high this time.
Cassandra Alvarez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, Payton Richards made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, Woodland came up short against Rio Linda on Tuesday, falling 19-9.
Van Dam Cassidee was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Szepesi Ava, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI.
Woodland's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Casa Roble, they suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 7-6.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Casa Roble hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .313. However, it's not like Woodland struggles in that department as they've averaged .342. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Casa Roble's way against Woodland in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Casa Roble made off with a 12-0 win. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
