The Gouverneur Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 28 points or more this season. They really took it to Norwood-Norfolk for the full four quarters, racking up a 83-19 win on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Gouverneur has managed all season.
Raine Rumble was his usual excellent self, scoring 48 points. The contest was his sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Conner Witherall, who scored seven points.
Gouverneur pushed their record up to 3-3 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.6 points per game. As for Norwood-Norfolk, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gouverneur will challenge General Brown at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. General Brown comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
