If the Brighton Bengals were feeling good off their 75-51 takedown of the West Panthers last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Brighton fell 92-85 to Olympus on Friday. Brighton has struggled against Olympus recently, as their game on Friday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Brighton lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jaxon Soto, who scored 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Soto has scored all season. Nash Matheson was another key contributor, scoring 21 points.
Brighton's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Olympus, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-2.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Alta the next time they take the court. Olympus will head out to face Alta at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Brighton will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
