In what's become a running theme this season, the Hampton Christian Academy Warriors gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Gateway Christian 66-37 on the road. Winning may never get old, but Hampton Christian Academy sure is getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Hampton Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Bryce Harris, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 assists. Harris hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Sean O'Connor, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.
Hampton Christian Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season. As for Gateway Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hampton Christian Academy will take on the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Portsmouth Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 348th, while the Warriors are ranked 98th). As for Gateway Christian, they will head out on the road to take on the Vikings at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
