The Legacy Lightning came tearing into  Friday's  match with five straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with  a   65-57  victory over Brighton. Given Legacy's advantage  in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings  (they are ranked 43rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 202nd), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Legacy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Joey Delescinskis led the charge by  scoring 20 points along with two  steals and two  blocks. It was the first time this season that  Delescinskis  posted two or more  blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of  Nathan Spradling, who  scored 15 points along with six  steals and five  assists.
 Despite the  loss, Brighton saw an underclassman step up:  Austin Sickler  scored 23 points. Another player making a difference was  Vance Martinez, who  scored 17 points along with five  rebounds.
 Even though they lost, Brighton  were working as a unit and  finished the game with 14  assists. That's the most  assists they've managed all season.
 Legacy has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won seven of their last eight contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Brighton, their loss was  their fifth straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 3-11.
 Legacy will look to defend their home court  on Tuesday against the Mustangs at 6:30  p.m. Averaging 60  points so far this season, Mountain Range's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so the Lightning better be ready for a challenge. As for Brighton, they will head out on the road to  square off against  the Thunderhawks at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Prairie View has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 6.
