The Forest Hills Rangers will head out on the road to face off against the Central Dragons at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Forest Hills is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.
On Friday, Forest Hills made easy work of Penns Valley Area and carried off a 12-1 win. Considering the Rangers have won seven games by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Chase Williamson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Williamson was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Maddox Dombrosky, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Tommy Russell was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Forest Hills was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .524. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Central earned a 13-9 victory over Bellwood-Antis on Monday. The Dragons haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Central also got a great performance from Mason Sparks as he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits.
On the hitting side, Jesse Muthler was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Dilling, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Forest Hills pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Central, their record is now 11-4.
Forest Hills skirted past Central 9-8 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rangers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
