Oswayo Valley pushed their score all the way to 56 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 69-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cuba-Rushford. While losing is never fun, Oswayo Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 745th in Pennsylvania, while the Rebels are ranked 356th in New York).
Connor Resig put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 14 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Gabe Mundt, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Northern Potter was beaten by the Raiders 69-31 on Thursday. Northern Potter has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Oswayo Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Northern Potter, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.
