The Community School of Davidson Spartans put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Piedmont Community Charter 62-11 at home. Considering Community School of Davidson has won three matchups by more than 22 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Community School of Davidson can attribute much of their success to Molly Feighery, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Feighery is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Scarlett Soares, who scored 7 points along with 3 steals.
Community School of Davidson's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Piedmont Community Charter, they have fallen quite a ways from their 19-9 record last season and are now at 1-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Community School of Davidson will challenge Mountain Island Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Mountain Island Charter focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 35 on Wednesday. As for Piedmont Community Charter, they will head out on the road to face off against Highland Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Highland Tech presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Piedmont Community Charter in North Carolina (Highland Tech is ranked 48th, while Piedmont Community Charter is ranked 355th).
